Services have been set for Arthur "Wayne" Trivelpiece of Clarks Summit, Pa., who passed away on Feb. 21, 2024, at Wesley Village United Methodist Homes Rehabilitation Center in Pittson, Pa.
Born in Scranton, Pa., he was the son of the late Arthur Trivelpiece and Jeanette (Jane) Nino Trivelpiece. Wayne worked in carpentry for years and owned a WoodMode franchise, Abington Cabinetry, with his son, Art Trivelpiece. Many kitchens and baths were renovated over the years. In retirement, Wayne's passion for antique cars, Model A Fords in particular, kept him very busy with a whole new type of remodel and restore. He and his wife Vi were very active in their local Model A Club and enjoyed many meetings and road trips and friendships with that club. Wayne was a member of the local Rotary Club and served on its board. He also served on the board of Wesley Village Methodist Homes.
Surviving are his wife, Vida Rose Miller Dewitt Trivelpiece, of Clarks Summit, Pa.; son, Arthur (Art) Trivelpiece and wife, Karen, of Factoryville, Pa.; daughter, Jean Trivelpiece Vermeulen and husband, Fred, of Charlotte, N.C.; granddaughters, great-granddaughters, nieces and nephews, and grandnieces and grandnephews.
Wayne was predeceased by two sisters, Ila Burman, of New Jersey; Sara Jane Warthling, of Florida; two nephews, Ross Burman and Neil Burman; and wives, Beverly Jenkins Trivelpiece, Clesta Black Trivelpiece and Dottie Madden Trivelpiece.
A memorial service will be held Friday, May 17, at 4 p.m. at Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit. Friends and family may pay their respects at the funeral home from 2 p.m. until the time of the service.

This picture is from a perfect day in 2021. Wayne and Vida drove over to our farm to show Jim this beautiful vehicle. He was our first landlord after our marriage in 1966. Wayne and Jim served together on the Methodist Homes Board for many years. He was very nice, community minded, knowledgeable gentlemen, He will be missed.
My sincere love and sympathy to Vida, Artie and Jeannie

I am sorry for your loss, and will hold you in my prayers during this time. Wayne was for years, very involved as a trustee on the United Methodist Homes Board, and also its Local Development Committee, which provided oversight to Wesley Village. Wayne always offered helpful suggestions and advice. A true supporter in advancing care and services to seniors. He will certainly be missed and well remembered. Rest in Peace.

Dearest Vi, just spoke with Marge and told us of Wayne's passing, of which we didn't know. He certainly was a pillar for many organizations and a friend of our's for many years passed. Blessing sent your way for all the family. Love, Jim and Gloria Lyons

What a sweet man Wayne was. It was a privilege to work with him on projects in Rotary and to know him and Vida. My life is better from just knowing him. May he rest in peace.
