Denise Ann Zeshonski (formerly Angeli, née Sobolewski), 67, passed away on Jan. 9, 2022, at Regional Hospital of Scranton, Pennsylvania.
She was born on Nov. 21, 1954, in Carbondale, Pennsylvania to the late Chester Joseph and Lillian Ann (Sabric) Sobolewski. Denise attended West Scranton High School and during that time she met the love of her life, Joseph Aniello Angeli Jr. They were married on Aug. 7, 1971, raised two sons. Denise had a career in the garment industry and later was the receptionist at Holy Family Residence, from which she retired in 2019. She enjoyed shopping, playing word games, tea, and her dog, Charlie.
Denise was preceded in death by her husband of 23 years, Joseph; and her parents. She is survived by her husband, Chester Zeshonski; two sons, Joseph (Glenn Ellis) and Todd; her siblings, Francis (Dave) Taylor, Susan (Ronald) Cordaro, Chester Sobolewski, David Sobolewski and Michael Sobolewski; her grandchildren, Mariah Lynn Angeli and Irelynn Victoria Angeli; and several nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
A private Mass will be held for family members.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Denise's memory to Penn Medicine Development and Alumni Relations, 3535 Market St., Suite 750, Philadelphia, PA 19104.
Her bright and funny personality will be missed by all that knew her.
Denise and Joe are together again.
