Elizabeth Mary Bohan

Elizabeth Mary Bohan, 99, of Scranton, died Tuesday at home after an illness. Her loving husband was the late Joseph Bohan.

Born in Scranton, daughter of the late Antony and Helen Switala Pron, she was employed as a dressmaker by Linden Dress Co. before her retirement. She was a lifetime member of St. Stanislaus Polish National Catholic Cathedral and a longtime member of the Chopan Choir.

Surviving are a daughter, Elaine "Bohan" and husband, the Rev. Francis Rowinski, Hurtley, Ill.; a brother, Robert Pron, Scranton; a sister, Helen Pron, Scranton; a sister-in-law, Salley Holvey; and a brother-in-law, Charles Bohan. She was loved by her grandchildren, Kristen (Rowinski) and husband, Andrew DeMonte; Joshua and wife, Dawn Rowinski; and Jason Rowinski; her great-grandchildren, who stole her heart, Kaya Faith Rowinski, Ashlinn Elaine DeMonte and Noah Joshua Rowinski; and two nieces and their families.

She was also preceded in death by a brother, Walter Pron; and a sister-in-law, Pearl Pron.

The funeral will be Tuesday at 10:45 a.m. from the Sznyter Funeral Home, 1101 Prospect Ave., Scranton, with Mass celebrated at 11 in St. Stanislaus Polish National Catholic Cathedral. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.

The family will receive friends Tuesday morning from 9 to 10:45 at the funeral home.
