He was preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Banick Boland, and brothers, Bernard, Robert, and Dr. William Banick.
The funeral will take place on Tuesday with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11 a.m. by his brother, Msgr. Thomas V. Banick, in the IHM Center Chapel, 2300 Adams Ave., Scranton. Family and friends may pay their respects at the chapel from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass. It is recommended that all attending wear a mask.
