Loretta R. Tomazic

Loretta R. Tomazic, 85, of Forest City, died Tuesday morning in Marian Community Hospital, Carbondale. She was the wife of the late John M. Tomazic, who died April 1, 1994.

Born Oct. 18, 1922, in Carbondale, she was the daughter of the late Victor and Frances Novak Lauriha. A 1940 graduate of Forest City Regional High School, she was employed at Gentex Corp., Simpson, before retirement. She was a member of St. Joseph's Church; the Slovenian Heritage Club; was secretary of SNPJ Lodge 124; and was a former member of the Forest City BPW, all of Forest City. She was a talented quilter and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Surviving are a son, Paul Tomazic, Forest City; two daughters, Linda Telatovich, Lauderhill, Fla.; and Karen Wallingford, Gladwyne; two brothers, Edward Lauriha, Spring Hill, Fla.; and Donald Lauriha, Plumsteadville; four grandchildren, Andrew Telatovich, Jessica and Christine Wallingford and Matt Tomazic; and several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by six brothers, Victor, August, George, Gabriel, David and Raymond; two sisters, Frances and Elsie, and a son, John.

The funeral will be Saturday at 9:30 a.m. from the Kevin M. Lesjack Funeral Home, 513 Main St., Forest City, with Mass of Christian Burial at 10 in St. Joseph's Church, Forest City, Interment, St. Joseph's Cemetery, Forest City.
