Margaret Lally Obituary

Margaret T. Lally, 94, a lifelong South Scranton resident, died Monday at Scranton Health Care Center, Minooka section of Scranton.

Born in Scranton, she was a daughter of the late Anthony J. and Mary A. Kearns Lally. She was a member of St. Paul of the Cross Parish, South Scranton. She attended Scranton Technical High School and was employed at the Sauquoit Silk Mill for more than 40 years.

Surviving are two nieces, Mary Wacker and husband, Tad, Old Bridge, N.J.; and Anne Hanis and husband, Ed, Scranton; three nephews, Gerry Mulkerin, Montrose; Stanley Wojewodski, Dallas, Texas; and Bob Wojewodski, California; seven great-nieces, Katie Roemer, Laura Lapitzki, Melissa Tschopp, Christine Wrobel, Colleen Shimko, Michelle Romanaskas and Daniel Hanis; two great-nephews, John Tschopp and Edward Hanis; and cousins, including Pauline Shields and Jack Lally; and a very good friend, Marion O'Brien.

The funeral will be Thursday with Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary Church, 1217 Prospect Ave., Scranton, to be celebrated by the Rev. Scott Sterowski, pastor. Interment, Cathedral Cemetery.

Friends may call Thursday, from 9 to 9:45 a.m., at the Neil W. Regan Funeral Home Inc., 1900 Pittston Ave., Scranton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph's Center Foundation, 2020 Adams Ave., Scranton, PA 18505.
