Paula Kennedy Obituary
Paula M. Yatsko Kennedy, of Throop, passed away unexpectedly Saturday evening, May 22.
She lived the earlier part of her life in Dunmore and was the daughter of the late Leonora Filippin Yatsko and the late Frank P. Yatsko. She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Dunmore and formerly a member of All Saints Parish, also in Dunmore.
Paula is survived by Michael Kennedy, her husband of 25 years; and her daughter, Andrea Kennedy Flannery and husband, Jeremy Flannery, of Dunmore. She is also survived by her sister, Francene Yates and husband, David, Bangor; her brother, Frank Yatsko, Throop; and by her aunt, Nellie Palumbo, Scranton. She is also survived by her nephew, Aaron Yatsko, Throop; niece, Jena Gruits, St. Ignace, Mich.; and niece, Samantha Yates, Bangor, Pa.; as well as five great-nephews and one great-niece.
Paula was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, niece and friend. She stayed in touch with people and took a genuine interest in all. She always maintained a good attitude even in times of adversity. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
The funeral will be held on Saturday, June 12, at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Dunmore. Friends may call Friday, June 11, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the John F. Glinsky Funeral Home Inc., 445 Sanderson St., Throop. All those attending funeral Mass please go directly to the church.
Friends may make a donation to Parkinson's disease or to the St. Jude's Children Research Hospital in lieu of flowers.
