Richard Ostrander Jr., 58, of Taylor, passed away Thursday at Geisinger Community Medical Center, Scranton.
He was born in Wilkes-Barre, son of the late Richard Ostrander Sr. and Carol (Grella) Ostrander.
He graduated from Wyoming Valley West High School in 1982. After graduating he went on to serve his country in the United States Navy.
He was currently employed by Taylor Deli and, prior to that, at The Avenue Diner. His true passion was cooking for a living.
Surviving are his children, Lisa Ostrander and fiancée, Ryan Nalaschi of Pittston; Richard Ostrander III and wife, Jennifer of Frederick, Md.; Ashley Ostrander of Pittston; sister; Ann Riggi of Plymouth; and girlfriend, Jeannie Munger of Scranton.
Services will be at the convenience of the family, and are entrusted to Metcalfe Shaver Kopcza Funeral Home Inc., 504 Wyoming Ave., Wyoming.
