Ricky Collarini Obituary
Born in Peckville, son of the late Julio and Helen Esolen Collarini, Ricky graduated from Blakely High School, where he was a member of the football team. Ricky was the owner and operator of Collarini Pasta. He was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish, Peckville.
He was a kind and loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend who will be missed by all who knew him. Ricky was the Lackawanna County Heavyweight Boxing Champion in the early 1960's, an avid hunter and a founding member of the Blakely Bear Rod and Gun Club. Partnered with his wife, he opened Collarini Pasta in 1984 and worked by her side for more than 30 years. Wherever his wife was, Ricky wasn't far behind. He enjoyed traveling the world with his wife, family and friends. His grandchildren brought him great joy. Poppy always made it a point to attend all their sporting events. He loved the Philadelphia Eagles, Phillies and his attack dog, Buddy, the beagle.
Also surviving are four daughters, Maria Kishel and husband, Edmund, Jessup; Lisa Kochmansky and husband, David, Oxford; Laura Cole-Haberek and husband, Frank, Peckville; and Georgina Connor and husband, Anthony, Archbald; a son, Ricky Collarini Jr. and wife, Diane, Peckville; a brother, Geno Collarini and wife, Mildred, Peckville; two sisters, Stella Straka, Peckville; and Claire Cipriani and husband, Evo, Peckville; 14 grandchildren, Kayla, Cameron, Kyle, Rebecca, Ben, Brett, Sam, Laci, Matt, Nina, Claire, Anthony, Phillip and Ross; and many nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Paul, Robert and Ronald Collarini; and a son-in-law, Eric Cole.
The funeral will be Friday from the James M. Margotta Funeral Home, 1019 Main St., Peckville, with Mass of Christian Burial at 12:40 p.m. in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Peckville. Interment will follow at Union Cemetery, Peckville.

Dear Ann Marie & Family,
Mag and I want to offer our deepest sympathies regarding Ricky's passing. We're sorry that we couldn't attend the funeral. We just learned about it. My brother, Bobby, also wants us to extend his sympathies as well. We both remember some of our early childhood days when we spent some summer days in Peckville visiting Ricky and our other cousins. May you find comfort in the lifetime of memories that you created with Ricky.
