Thomas Anthony Costanzo Sr.

Thomas Anthony Costanzo Sr., 75, of Throop, passed away Thursday morning at Penn State Health Milton Hershey Medical Center. He is survived by his wife, the former Marilyn Rabel. The couple had been married for 52 years.

Born in Scranton, he was the son of the late Carmen and Norma Mataloni Costanzo. He was a 1964 graduate of Dunmore High School and attended Youngstown State University, where he was part of the Zeta Beta Tau Fraternity. He went on to graduate from Wilkes College with a degree in finance.

He spent his career working with the Rabel family business. He was also a member of SS. Anthony and Rocco Parish in Dunmore.

Tom's family wishes to thank Dr. Charles Grad, Dr. Anthony Freda and the doctors, nurses and staff of the 7th floor at Penn State Health Milton Hershey Medical Center for all of their care and compassionate treatment.

Also surviving is a daughter, Regina Costanzo Krieger and husband Steve, Peckville; a son, Thomas Jr., Wilmington, Del.; a brother, Louis and wife, Betty Ann, Dunmore; a brother-in-law, Edward Rabel and wife Nancy, Peckville; aunt, Catherine Costanzo, Dunmore; godmother, Jeanette Donato, Dunmore; many cousins, godchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews whom he loved dearly.

A funeral Mass will be held on Friday at 9:30 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Church, Smith Street, Dunmore. Interment is private at the Dunmore Cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Those attending the Mass on Friday are asked to go directly to the church.
