Grady Pack Obituary

BURLINGTON - Grady Allen Pack, 85, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at Edgewood Place surrounded by his family. He was a native of Alamance County and the husband of 63 years to Patricia Hart Pack who survives.

Grady retired after 37 years with A T & T and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. He was a veteran of the US Army and former member of Piedmont Presbyterian church where he served as a deacon, elder, treasurer, building committee chairman and Sunday School teacher for many years. Recently Grady and Patricia were attending Holly Hill Baptist Church. Grady's hobby was working with wood, especially carving Carousel horses and he has won numerous awards. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia Hart Pack of the home; sons, R. Keith Pack of Burlington and Kevin Lynn Pack and wife, Julie of Liberty; grandchildren, Taylor Lawton Pack and Mason Allen Pack. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Dewitt Pack, Sr. and Nannie Mae Stadler Pack, four sisters and two brothers.

A service to celebrate his life will be held on Sunday, February 17, 2019 at 2 pm at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Dr. Gene Hunsinger and burial will follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:30-1:45 pm prior to the service and other times at the home.

Memorials may be made to Holly Hill Baptist Church, 2818 Edgewood Avenue, Burlington, NC 27215.
