Randy Burns Obituary

SAN DIEGO, Calif. - CO 1st Sgt. Randy D. Burns, 8/26/1965-5/23/2011, died in a San Diego hospital after being hospitalized for 14 months.
Randy was a native of Alamance County where he attended high school and played football at Southern Alamance High School. Burns joined the USMC after high school from which he had retired just before his illness.
Burns is preceded in death by his father, Harrison Burns, of Alamance County; and grandson, also of Alamance County.
He is survived by his wife Shelly, of San Diego; mother, Rochelle Burns, of Burlington; his sons, Devin of Whitsett and Brandon of the USAF; daughters, Miranda of Alabama and Sasha of San Diego; and one grandson.
Services will be conducted Saturday, June 11, at 2:30 p.m. at Mount Zion Baptist Church on Greensboro- Chapel Hill Road, Liberty N.C. Refreshments will be served for all who would like to stay.
