Mr. Joe Braxton Mc-
Call, age 84, of Prather
Bridge Road, Toccoa
passed away Tuesday,
Sept. 12, 2023 at the
Stephens County Hospital.
A son of the late Racine
and Emma Brinsdon Mc-
Call, he was born Aug. 8,
1939 in Franklin County,
Georgia, having lived
most of his life in Stephens
County. He was retired
from Georgia Power Com-
pany as a foreman with 37
years of service. He was a
1958 graduate of Lavonia
High School. He loved
farming, watching sports
and talking to people. He
was a loving husband, fa-
ther and grandfather and
was of the Baptist faith. He
was preceded in death by
his parents.
Survivors include his
wife of the home, Brenda
Meeks McCall; sons and
daughters-in-law, Greg
and Jill McCall of Toccoa
and Mike and Andrea Mc-
Call of Clarkesville; grand-
children, Dustin McCall,
Davis McCall, Brenna Mc-
Call and Braxton Andrew
McCall.
Funeral services were
Friday, Sept. 15, 2023, 2
p.m. in the Hillcrest
Chapel of the Acree-Davis
Funeral Home with the
Rev. Jerrell Beatty offici-
ating. The following gen-
tlemen will serve as pall-
bearers: Leonard Sheriff,
Mark Thomas, Nelson Big-
gers, Billy Buffington and
James London. Honorary
pallbearer will be David
Smith.
The family received
friends at the Acree-Davis
Funeral Home on Friday
from 12:30 p.m. until the
service time. Online con-

The family would like
to express their thanks to
the third floor staff of
Stephens County Hospital
for the care given to their
loved one.
Interment will follow in
the Martin Baptist Church
Cemetery with the Acree-
Davis Funeral Home and
Crematory in charge of the
arrangements for Mr. Joe
Braxton McCall.
