Annie VanAsselberg Obituary
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Annie B. Van Asselberg at 1 p.m. on Friday, March 6, 2015 in the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Ricky Gremillion officiating. Interment will follow in Alexandria Memorial Gardens under the direction of John Kramer & Son Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday, March 6, 2015 from 10:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.
Annie B. Van Asselberg, 89 of Alexandria passed away on Wednesday, March 3, 2015, at Tioga Community Care Center.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Louis A. Van Asselberg, Sr.; parents, Joseph and Rose Dominick Bouchard; brother, Alfred J. Bouchard; and four sisters, Edna B. Parker, Sadie M. Bouchard, Dena M. Bouchard, and Rita Norton.
Those left to cherish her memory include one son, Louis "Art" Van Asselberg, Jr. (Debbie); two daughters, Lou-Ann V. Willis (David "Kim") and Regina V. Swart (Wade); 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
The family sends a special thank you to nieces, Dena Norton and Rose Norton, for your special love and care. The family wishes to extend a "thank you" to the staff of All Saints Hospice and Tioga Community Care Center. A personal thank you, from Debbie, to All Saints Hospice and Tioga Community Care Center- we made a good team! The family sincerely appreciates Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church for taking a "special interest" in Miss Annie. The family is grateful to Jeremy and Teresa Ussery for being there every day for Miss Annie. The family is thankful to Jeff and Courtney Daughtry for being such caring and loving neighbors.
Pallbearers honored to serve will be Louis "Art" Van Asselberg, Jr., Jacob Van Asselberg, Davis Willis, Jr., Chad Willis, Brandon Brown and Jeremy Ussery. Those honored to serve as Honorary Pallbearers are Brandon Willis, Jason Billingsley, Brandon Barnidge, and Walter Norton,M.D.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the American Heart Association or to the Alzheimer's Association Louisiana, 3445 N. Causeway Blvd, Suite 902, Metairie, LA 70002.

From the time I was born, Miss Ann was in our lives. I remember her as if it were yesterday, tossing her head back and laughing at "all you kids." She was well loved and knew how to enjoy life. I know she is with Uncle Bossy in Heaven right now. May she rest in peace.

All who knew this sweet kind soul loved her. She was a devote woman who did her best every day to love and care for her family. I miss her greatly and take comfort that she is now at peace.
