Carol McKee Obituary

Carol Jean McKee, 77, Luverne, North Dakota, passed away on January 5, 2023 at SMP Health-St. Raphael in Valley City, ND.
Carol Jean Mielke was born February 20, 1945 in Valley City, ND. She was the daughter of Elmer and Mable (Rogne) Mielke. She attended school in Dazey, ND and was a member of the first graduating class of North Central of Barnes in 1963. After high school graduation, she attended the Dakota Business School in Fargo, ND for one year. On June 27, 1965, Carol married Marvin Jene Mckee. They lived in Fargo, Texas, Arizona and California before moving to Luverne, ND in 1976 where they farmed. Their son Blair was born in 1981.
Carol began managing the New People's Store in Luverne and was also the postal clerk there until her retirement in 2006. Carol was a member of the Luverne Lutheran Church and was a member of TOPS of Valley City.
Carol is survived by her husband Marvin Jene McKee, Luverne; her son Blair and wife, Marlena, Fargo; and three grandsons, Hudson, Bridger and Nash all of Fargo. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral service will be 1pm, Monday, January 9 at Luverne Lutheran Church in Luverne. Visitation will be from 11 am until the time of the service. Burial will be later in the spring at Luverne Cemetery, Luverne.

Carol always took the time to check in on us. No matter where we were exploring, California, Texas, New Mexico, Washington State, we would get a call from her asking how we were. She was a great lady and we will miss her.
