James Marshall Obituary

MARSHALL, James D., "J.D.", 91, of Chester, Va., died January 29, 2022, at Chippenham Hospital after a brief illness. James proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps with honors. He retired from the Chesterfield County School Board after 23 years in school maintenance. He was preceded in death by parents, Delmas T. and Nancy L. Marshall; brothers, Garney, Carl, Bill and Tom Marshall; and sister, Joyce Marshall. Survivors include his wife, Katherine F. Marshall; three daughters, Sherry M. French of Suffolk, Va., Kathie A. Marshall of Spout Springs, Va. and Tina M. Marshall of Chester, Va.; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and brothers, Michael J. (Wilma) and Ronald L. (Barbara) Marshall. The family will receive friends 6 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, February 11, 2022 at Bliley's - Chippenham, 6900 Hull Street Rd. A graveside ceremony will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, February 12 in Bermuda Memorial Park, 1901 Bermuda Hundred Rd., Chester.
