Mary Lane Obituary
Predeceased by her husband, James S. Lane Sr.; her parents, Harry Link and Beulah Catherine Arehart; grandson, Jerry A. Melton Jr.; sons-in-law, Clyde Humes and Michael A. Fleshman; one sister and seven brothers. She is survived by her children, Mary Frances Humes and son, Gary, Jeanne Lynn Taylor and husband, Mark and children, Jennifer, Andrew, Shirley Ann Fleshman and son, DJ, Sharon Kay Stone and husband, David and children, Michael, Amanda, Nathan, Daisha, Aubrey Leonard Lane and wife, Cathy Ford and children, Jamie, Joyce, Danielle, Shelby and Aubrey Elizabeth Ford-Lane. She is also survived by 20 great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren, one brother and three sisters. Mom attended Biltmore Baptist Church and was an active member of her community. There will be a gathering of family and friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at Bliley's, 8510 Staples Mill Road, where a Celebration of Life will be held at 12 p.m. on Wednesday, December 14, 2022. Interment will be in Monticello Memorial Gardens, Charlottesville, Va. In lieu of flowers, please consider a contribution to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Grandma, you are one of the greatest women I´ve ever had the pleasure of knowing. Thank you for playing such a large role in our lives, and for helping to mold me into the man I´ve become. We will love and miss you forever, and we take solace in the fact that you are now reunited with Granddaddy, who we know you´ve missed so much since he went Home to Jesus. I hope I can make you proud. I love you Grandma
