Marjorie Glenna Pulse died Friday, May 21, 2021, at The Laurels of Hillsboro. She was 97.
She was born Feb. 2, 1924, the daughter of George Glenn and Alta (Frost) Abernathy, in Hamer Township.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, John William Pulse; a sister, Reba West; a brother-in-law, Howard West; a sister-in-law, Hilda (Pulse) Colliver; and a brother-in-law, Buryl Colliver.
She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, John and Nancy Abernathy; and several nieces, nephews and friends.
Marjorie spent her life working, keeping house and faithfully attending church. She was a member of the Allensburg Church of Christ. She and John were constant companions, traveling to many places and especially enjoying visiting Johnson Bible College in Tennessee each year, and spending time with many friends they met there. After high school, Marjorie went to work at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio. She had various other jobs after that, including several years at Kmart, where employees held a party for her when she turned 85. She loved working and meeting new people, many of whom became good friends. She was also a licensed pilot.
Marjorie was always cheerful and loved her Lord. She lived a long life, and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Butler Springs Christian Assembly, 3701 S.R. 41, Hillsboro, Ohio 45133.
