Harrison White

1933 - 2017

Harrison White, son of the late Alfred White, Jr. and Dorothy Mussleman, was born April 25, 1933 in Upper Frederick Township, PA. He quietly departed this life on Tuesday, October 24, 2017. Harrison was educated in Quakertown Elementary in Quakertown, PA, and A.D. Eisenhower High School in Norristown, PA. He received an Engineering Certificate in 1953. He entered and served in the United States Air Force. After he was discharged, he met and married Mary Louise Herbert. From this union came two children, Shaughn and Michael White. He was employed by Simpson Paper Company for over 40 years. Harrison was affectionately known as Harry to his family and close friends, and loved fishing and working on his flower beds. Harry was a faithful member of Cross Point Baptist Church in Souderton, PA, where he used his gardening talents to help keep the grounds looking beautiful. Harry leaves to cherish precious memories, his adoring wife of 53 years, Mary Louise; son, Shaughn (Ruqaiyah); sister, Wilma Williams (Harold); brother, Harris Benner; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his son, Michael in 2008. Funeral services are going to be held on Thursday, November 2, at 11:00 a.m. at Ebenezer Methodist Church, 234 E. Spruce Street, Norristown.
