Beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend; she was an active member of the Vallejo Sea Lions Club, Relay for Life and other community projects. Barbara enjoyed her long career as a 9-1-1 dispatcher for various law enforcement agencies and Caltrans.
Predeceased by husband Dean and son Robert "Bobby" Gardner, survived by daughter, Vicki Bale; stepchildren, Jean Ingram and Gary Birdsall; grandchildren Nathan and Vanessa; sisters, Sandra Walker and Laura Bohrer; loving aunt to two nieces, two nephews, Barbara leaves behind many other relatives, extended family members and adoring friends.
Viewing today at Colonial Chapels, 1000 Redwood St., Vallejo, 2 p.m to 8 pm; with services on Tuesday, February 13, 2007, at 2 p.m. at Colonial Chapels.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to Kaiser Foundation Hospital, Hospice Home Care Department, 975 Sereno Drive, Vallejo, CA 94589-2485, Attn: Jeanne Sanchez.
