Brian Maloney Obituary

Our dear friend passed away on Saturday, Jan. 31, 2009.

Brian Michael Maloney, age 60, was born in April 1948 and raised in Benicia, Calif.

Brian attended UC Davis where he received his degree in archaeology. After graduating, Brian worked on archaeological digs on the Yucatan Peninsula.

In 1973 Brian began a career with Pacific Gas & Electric Co. as a field clerk in the Bay Area. After 30 years of service he retired in 2003 from Diablo Canyon Power Plant as a scheduler. After retirement, Brian moved from his home in Oceano to his hometown in Benicia.

Brian loved to travel and over the years visited Australia, China, Ireland and other parts of Europe. Brian was also an avid S.F. Giant's fan, taking many trips to see his team at other ballparks in the Midwest and East Coast.

Brian's father, Wilbert "Bill" Maloney, his mother, Ethel Maloney (nee Lewis) and his sister, Barbara Maloney preceded him in death. Brian is survived by numerous cousins.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Monday at Passalacqua Funeral Homes at 901 W. 2nd St., Benicia, and followed by burial in St. Dominic's Cemetery, Benicia.

Arrangements are under the direction and care of Passalacqua Funeral Homes, 745-3130.
