Alice Chronoswski Obituary

SWOYERSVILLE — Alice M. Chronowski, 80, of Owen Street, Swoyersville, died on Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2014, at Riverstreet Manor, Wilkes-Barre. She was a resident of Swoyersville her entire life.

She was born on Oct. 18, 1933, in Swoyersville, to the late John Wysocki and Mary Haddick Wysocki Scripkunas.

She is a graduate of Swoyersville High School, class of 1951. Alice worked in the office of the United Pants Factory, Swoyersville, for many years.

Alice was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Swoyersville. She was a member of St. Mary Church prior to the consolidation. Alice was active with the planning committee for the Swoyersville High School, class of 1951; she enjoyed going to the casino and the VFW in Dupont.

Her husband, Leonard D. Chronowski, preceded her in death on Jan. 1, 2001.

Surviving are her daughter, Pamela Kruczek and her husband, Edward, Coopersburg; grandchildren, Austin and Morgan Kruczek; companion, Joe Ford; as well as, many nieces and nephews.

Funeral will be held 9 a.m. Saturday at the Hugh B. Hughes & Son Inc. Funeral Home, 1044 Wyoming Ave., Forty Fort, with a Mass of Christian Burial 9:30 a.m. in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, Swoyersville, with Father Joe Piasneschi. The interment will be held at St. Mary's Cemetery, Swoyersville. Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions, if desired can be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 57 N. Franklin St., Wilkes-Barre, PA 18701.
