Austin
Clara Willard Childress-Foreman was born on March 19, 1924 in Fort Worth, Texas to the late Charlie Burford Childress and Charlie Virginia Smith Childress. She was the only child born to this union. At an early age Clara accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior at the Hopewell Baptist Church, Crowell, Texas.
She was united in marriage to Joe T. Colbert who preceded her in death. Clara was a faithful member of the Antioch Baptist Church in Paducah, Texas. Later she moved to Wichita Falls, Texas and was united in marriage to A.B. Foreman who also preceded her in death. She was a faithful member of the Mount Pleasant Baptist Church until her health failed and she moved to Austin, Texas where she was under the watch care of the Mount Sinai Baptist Church.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories: her daughters; Barbara Ann Childress Cameron of Wichita Falls, Texas and Charlie Virginia Childress Cannon (Billy) of Austin, Texas and a son; Joe C. Colbert (Patsy) of Amarillo, Texas, thirteen grandchildren, twenty four great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
Services: 2 PM Saturday, January 12, 2019 Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, Dr. Robert M. Castle, Eulogist.
Burial will follow in Crestview Memorial Park.
Visitation: 5-7 PM Friday at Ainsworth & Young Funeral Home.

Mrs. Clara Foreman, I feel so privileged so have met you. Your smile, amazing sense of humor, and extremely kind and caring personality made you a shining star and a daily blessing.
I only had a few months to know you but I treasure them completely. Your singing was always a special treat for me. I have and will continue to sing your song whenever it feels right. Thank you for teaching me it is okay to sing and dance in front of others, if they don't like it we at least we're having fun. With your song and this lesson I will keep your memory alive in my small way.
I felt comfort seeing that she was going home to Wichita Falls and Mount Pleasant church. These were happy places for Clara.
I know I speak for everyone at AGE when I say thank you Charlie for sharing your mother with us. We love you both without end.
