Shawn Sargent Obituary
Iowa Park - Shawn Alexzander Sargent, 12, passed away Saturday, December 14, 2019 in Iowa Park, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Friday, December 20, 2019 at First Baptist Church of Iowa Park with Rev. Joshua Fields officiating. Graveside services will follow at Highland Cemetery under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home in Iowa Park.
Shawn was born February 6, 2007 in Wichita Falls, Texas to Dustin and Ashley (Beeman) Sargent. Shawn enjoyed playing football since the age of seven when he began playing with Iowa Park Kid Football, a division of the Top of Texas Football League and also for the WF George Middle School Hawk Football Team. Shawn was also a member of the WF George Middle School Band where he played the trombone. He loved doing anything outdoors, especially dove hunting with his dad. Shawn was fearless, taking on any challenge. He was always smiling and wanting to make others smile. Shawn had a kind, loving heart, always making certain others were included.
Surviving relatives include his parents, Dustin and Ashley Sargent; two brothers, Conner and Kai Sargent; and sister, Keira Sargent; all of Iowa Park; grandparents, Loretta and Chad Williams, Walter Beeman all of Iowa Park; Tom and Mati Sargent of Kuwait and Deborah Boles and Michael Grzybowski of Wichita Falls; great grandparents, Agnes McDonald of Scotland, Texas; Glenda Boles and Jerry Galliton of Randlett, Oklahoma; and Claude Boles and wife Jan of Wichita Falls; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins who loved him dearly.

Im Mercedes and i am 13 years old i was one of shawn friends he was so sweet funny and smart. One really funny story is that every time at the dance he would be in the middle of the dance floor and do fortnite dances it would be so funny i would dance with him. Another one is that he had a nickname in school it was sweaty. Sweaty Shawn because every day after athletes he would sweat so hard from all the hard work he did. He was a great football player. He would also stick up for me when i was bullied,and make me laugh when i was sad. He will be forever missed and loved.❤

Shawny Shawn as we called him was such a light to the world. He was the best hearted little boy I have ever known. He was the light of my sister's life. Her children were my children we loved them all as they were our own. Shawn is a very loved baby and we will never be the same without him.
