Anna Mae Stull
Anna Mae Stull, age 87, of Scio passed away Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at her home surrounded by her loving and devoted family. Born July 3, 1927 she was a daughter of the late Roy and Mertle (Busby) Dennis. She married Charles William "Chuck" Stull, Jr. Feb. 19, 1945. Together they started Stull Trucking and Excavating. She did whatever needed done, including driving trucks and filling out paperwork. The business was passed down to their son, Kelvin, who has now passed it on to the third generation, his son, Brian, who continues to honor the legacy they began. She and her family were loyal members of the Jewett Lutheran Church but after moving to Scio and starting her family it became hard to travel so she started attending Scio Presbyterian Church where she became an active member. She was also a member of the Scio American Legion Post 482 Auxiliary and Scio EMS, where she was an EMT for a brief time. She had a big heart and always helped those in need. She loved watching her husband, Chuck, call square dances in his younger years and spending time with her family.
Anna Mae was preceded in death by her husband, Chuck in 1985; a son, Kenny in 2003; a grandson, JP William Pyles in 2006; and all eight of her siblings. A little piece of her died with each one of them. Surviving are her devoted daughter, Karmie (Terry) Pyles of Scio; son, Kelvin Stull of Jewett; four grandchildren; seven great- grandchildren; and three great- great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in Holly Memorial Gardens, Colerain. Anna Mae wanted to thank everyone for everything they have done to make her long hard road a little better. Thank you for the flowers, food, card, gifts of all kinds, prayers, your time and understanding. May God Bless you all now and always, Anna Mae Stull and family.
