David Williams Obituary

David O. Williams, age 44, an 11th St. NW, New Philadelphia, O., resident, died Friday night, Sept. 12, 2008, in Union Hospital at Dover following a period of declining health.
He was a former plumber who had worked in Florida and for Peterman Plumbing and Heating Inc. at Dover.
He was born Dec. 6, 1963, in Ravenna, O., and was the son of the late Margaret M. Cottrell Williams.
He was an avid outdoorsman who particularly enjoyed hunting and was a member of the National Rifle Assn. David was a Ham Radio operator for years, broadcasting under the name "Kritter."
He is survived by four aunts, Moneda Greathouse of New Philadelphia, Viola Needham of Dover, Karen Cottrell of Edgewood, Md., and Mrs. Robert (Debbie) Moderwell of Dover; an uncle, Samuel (Pam) Cottrell of Ravenna; a number of cousins; and close friends, Chuck and Rose Abercrombie of Dover.
There will be no public funeral services or calling hours observed. David will be cremated and his ashes will be interred in the Cottrell-Greathouse Family Cemetery near Mineral City. Baxter-Gardner Funeral Home at Sherrodsville is handling arrangements.
