James M.
"Babe" Tidrick
age 79, of Tippecanoe, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 27, 2011 at his residence, following a lengthy illness. Born Nov. 6, 1931 at Tippecanoe, James was the son of the late James C. and Mary (Decker) Tidrick. James was employed at Gardner Lumber for 40 years as a timber cutter. He was the oldest member of the Mt. Carmel Church. James enjoyed hunting, fishing and going to swap meets. On Sept. 21, 1955, James married Margaret A. (Lillie) Tidrick. They enjoyed 50 years of marriage until her passing on Jan. 1, 2006.
In addition to his parents and his wife, James is preceded in death by a daughter, Anna M. Tidrick and two sisters. James is survived by his children, Patricia A. Pivonka and her companion, Michael of Tippecanoe and James L. (Debbie) Tidrick of Wheeling, W.Va.; a brother, Joe Tidrick of Tippecanoe and a sister, Rachel Sanders of Uhrichsville; nine grandchildren; eight great- grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for James will be held at 1 p.m., on Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2011 at the Uhrich-Hostettler English Funeral Home at Uhrichsville, with the Rev. Leonard Porter officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Tippecanoe. Calling hours will be from 5 to 9 p.m., on Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2011 at the funeral home.
