Andrew Lazorischak Obituary

Lazorischak, Andrew T. WATERVLIET It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Andrew T. Lazorischak, 47, who died in the comfort of his home on Monday, October 18, 2021, with his beloved family at his side. Andrew was born in Troy on September 28, 1974, the beloved son of Patrick A. Lazorischak of Watervliet and the late Carol A. Dings Lazorischak who died on February 4, 2018. Andy was a lifelong resident of Watervliet and was a graduate of Watervliet High School. He was known throughout the city of Watervliet and was friendly to everyone he met. While growing up, he was employed by the city of Watervliet as "summer help" in the city garage. He also volunteered for Congressman Mike McNulty's congressional campaign every two years. He was employed for over 21 years by N.Y.S. Worker's Compensation in Schenectady where he took the bus every day to work. Andy was an avid N.Y. Giants and N.Y. Yankees fan. He was honored by the N.Y. Giants on a special trip to Metlife Stadium this past July where he was given a tour around the stadium and his name was displayed on the jumbo video scoreboard. He was also a huge WWE wrestling fan. He was a student of history and enjoyed trips to Gettysburg and was an admirer of President John F. Kennedy. He cherished family trips to the beaches of Cape Cod and North Carolina and loved the music of Neil Diamond. In addition to his father Patrick, he was the beloved brother of Diane M. (Jamie) Mizener of Selkirk and David A. (Diane Acquino) Lazorischak of Colonie; proud uncle of Kaila, Jenna, Blake and Aaron; loving nephew of Beverly (Bud) Pommer, Paula (Bill) Mazzarello, Edward (late Nancy) Dings, Richard (Annie) Lazorischak and the late Raymond Dings; and dear friend of Jimmy, Bobby and the late Kenny. He is also survived by cousins. The family would like to thank Community Hospice especially Barb, Darren, Katina, Steve and Mike for all you did for Andrew. The funeral will be on Saturday, at 8:15 a.m. from the Parker Bros. Memorial, 2013 Broadway, Watervliet and at 9 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church, South Troy, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment will be in Memory Gardens, Colonie. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home on Friday from 4-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Community Hospice, 310 S. Manning Blvd., Albany, NY, 12208. Condolence book at ParkerBrosMemorial.com.
