Arlene Cocco Obituary

Cocco, Arlene R. COHOES Arlene R. Cocco, 70, passed away on Friday, January 18, 2008 at the Inn at St. Peter's Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Arlene was born on July 31, 1937 in Witherbee, N.Y. and was the daughter of the late Francis N. and Rita M. Bisaillon Violette. She worked as a teller for the Off Track Betting Corp. in Latham for over 20 years. She loved to cook - no one could match her sauce, loved her cats and enjoyed cross stitching. Arlene is survived by her children, Teresa A. (Frank) Pino and John N. (Mary) Cocco; her grandchildren, Bridgette, Kristen and Stephanie McLean and Joshua, Caleb, Benjamin and Hannah Cocco; her great-grandchildren, Alexander and Brenden; her brother, Robert (Diana) Violette; her sister, Donna (Bill) Ertel; her sister-in-law, Barbara Violette and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, John S. Cocco; her daughter, Sherry Cocco; and her brother, Norman Violette. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Blessed Sacrament Church, Albany. Calling hours will be held at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave.) on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. Interment, St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital, 315 So. Manning Blvd., Albany, NY 12208 in memory of Arlene R. Cocco.
