COHOES - David M. Muth, 78, of Stacey Ct., passed away unexpectedly on April 2, 2024. Born in Lowville, N.Y. on June 28, 1945, son of the late George and Monica Monnat Muth, he was a graduate of Fr. Leo Memorial High School in Croghan, N.Y. and later received his bachelor's degree from Siena College.
David had lived in Florida for many years, until the untimely passing of his wife, "Bunny," in 2018. He worked as retail manager for both Rite-Aid and Walmart.
David enjoyed reading, taking care of people and was a great conversationalist. He embraced his gift of gab throughout his working career, and around his neighborhoods. He was a devoted family man, who loved the time he was able to spend with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by the love of his life, his wife of 51 years, Elvira "Bunny" Muth; as well as his beloved brother, Robert C. Muth.
Survivors include his daughter, Mary-Ann Muth of Cohoes; and son, Michael and wife, Sharon Muth of Brunswick; as well as grandchildren, Cassandra (Joseph) Villa, Michaela and Marissa Muth; great-grandchildren, Madison and Jackson Villa; sister-in-law, Lorraine Muth; and nephew, Steven (Beth) Muth; as well as several other nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Calling hours at the DeVito-Salvadore Funeral Home, 39 S. Main St., Mechanicville, N.Y. 12118, will be held on Saturday, May 4, from 11 a.m. - 12 p.m. A Funeral Home Service will follow starting at 12 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Clifton Park/ Halfmoon Public Library, 475 Moe Rd., Clifton Park, N.Y. 12065, in memory of David M. Muth.
