Thank you everyone! I come to this site to get inspiration :), seeing all of the people that care for my family and the people who cared for my dad is just so uplifting to me. I would like to say a special thanks to phil for adding a photo of my dad that we do not have. If any one else has any photos that thay could send to us or poast it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for everything and I love you Dad!

Dearest David, Well yesterday was Thanksgiving and we all missed you and mom very much. Kathy cooked for all of us and she did a superb job. We all muttled through by the strength of each other. Dad, Mom had a hard time today, she kept saying "your father did this and that!" Kourtney seems to know exactly what to do with the things that we dont. She was your best friend. My God how we miss you, I keep seeing you mowing the lawn and asking me about my job. Gabby is insisting on seeing you with God soon,I'm trying to tell her that I dont want that to happen for a long time and she just cries. We Miss you so much...

My deepest sympathy goes out to Kathy and the rest of Dave's family. Dave was a wonderful guy to work with which I have for 24 years. I will miss him dearly, especially the way he made me laugh. He also was first to share his knowlege in operational support when I was learning the systems. He was a dear friend and (neighbor - he lived across the street from my father and brother in-law). He would always stop by to say hello - when he saw my car in the driveways.

To my Uncle Dave, You have meant so much to me, I am so grateful we have had these past ten years of holidays and family occasions. I have always cherished our evening of dancing together. Kathy, Jackie, Kourtney, Shelly and Gabby have been so loved by you, we have all learned from you how important family is. You are truly the best man I ever met. I love you and miss you very much. Though I only worked with Dave for a couple of years, right now I consider myself blessed to have known him at all. You'll be missed, big guy. May your mug always be full, your cooler full of ice, and may you have all the OT you could ever want.

To the newberry family my deepest sorrow on the passing of dave.i worked with numb twenty years ago at the port on the bannana boats from eary in the morning till late at night. What blew me away was that was just the start of his week because then he would go to his state job. but i will say the numb had a zest for having fun and drinking ice cold beer.He also loved taking great vacations with his family to florida,well numb sleep well you deserve it, ill miss your smiling face and next time we meet the cold ones are on me. your pal paulie

to the newberry family my deepest sorrow on the passing of dave,WE grew up on the streets of albany and went to school at the old albany high.Even back then dave had many jobs,but always had time to hoist a few cold ones with his friends. My thoughts and prayers are with Dave's family at this time. I've known Dave for many years at HESC and most recently at OFT where we both worked. The attached picture was taken at the OFT Summer 2002 Picnic. It is one of the ways I'll always remember Dave as a friend having a good time..

Dave was my supervisor when we cleaned state buildings at night, back in 1972. He was a very hard worker who would work from dawn till dusk at the port, and then put in another 5 hours at a second job. Despite his exhausting schedule, Dave was never in a bad mood, and was fun to be around. My heartfelt condolences go out to his family and friends.
