John Styk

Styk, John COHOES John Styk, 93 of Cohoes, passed away at Delmar Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing, Delmar on Monday, April 26, 2021. He was born and educated in Poland and was the son of the late Kazimierz and Antonina Janik Styk. He was a mechanic for Simmons Machine Tool Corp in Albany. He was a communicant of St. Michael's Church, Cohoes, St. Michael's Community Center, and a member of the PNA Group 1684. Husband of the late Janina Czarnecka Styk. Father of Kazimiera (Jan) Lopatniuk of Cohoes and George (Dorothy) Styk of Rochester; grandfather of Jane (Eric) Fanniff, Marion (Elizabeth) Lopatniuk, Edward (Melinda) Lopatniuk, Alexander Styk and Stefan Styk; and great-grandfather of Tyler Fanniff, Emily Fanniff, Lukasz Lopatniuk, Maddox Lopatniuk, Henryk Lopatniuk and Eden Lopatniuk. Brother of the late Marian Styk, also survived by nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Michael's Church, Cohoes on Wednesday, April 28, 2021, at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery, Waterford. Relatives and friends may call at the Dufresne Funeral Home, Inc., 216 Columbia Street, Cohoes on Tuesday, April 27, 2021, from 5 to 7 p.m. Masks are required and social distancing will be observed inside and outside of the funeral home.
