Cousin Mickey Gus Miranda is the first of the 21 Miranda Cousins to pass away. A sad day for the family. Mickey was the third oldest of the 21 of us. The only ones older are his two sisters. I have fond memories of Mickey walking me to school from our adjacent homes on Lancaster Street to the grammar schools at the corner of Columbia and Main Streets. My most vivid memory was rolling down "St. Rita's Hill" on Newark Street after my red wagon lost a wheel as we went down the hill as fast as gravity let us. We literally rolled down the hill! Those were the days.
The world is a poorer place without Cousin Mickey and we will miss him.
