Miriam Feldman Obituary
SCHENECTADY - Miriam V. Feldman, 91, passed away peacefully June 2, 2023, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Albany, Miriam was the daughter of the late Harold and Loretta Kircher (Hennessey).
Miriam attended Vincentian Institute and went on to graduate from Mildred Elley. She married the love of her life, Irving M. Feldman, on April 24, 1954, and enjoyed over 70 years of happiness together. Miriam was blessed with many talents which she used to create a warm and loving home for her family. Her devotion to her family and the life they created was her proudest accomplishment. As her children married, she lovingly accepted their spouses and families as her own. She also enjoyed many lifelong friendships. In life, Miriam had many passions. She put her passion for flowers to use at Doris Remis Florist for almost two decades. Her creativity and talents ensured successful family parties and celebratory occasions throughout the years.
In addition to her parents Miriam was predeceased by her siblings, Elaine (Bob) Mink, and Harold Kircher; and her brother-in-law Charles Armstrong.
She is survived by her sister and best friend Shirl Armstrong; and in-laws, Fran Kircher, Albert Doremus and Dorothy Feldman. She is also survived by her beloved children, Michael (Jackie Negri), Sherry Rowlands (Rick), Daniel (Debra Gail), David (Karen), John (Corinne), Paul (Jill), Debbie Panariello (John), Robert (Cheryl), Susan Baines (Harvey); cherished grandchildren, Jill Bloomer, Michael (Jennifer), Nicole, Danielle, Jessica Rowlands (Jake Conte), Ellis Rowlands, Bailey, Jen Tetrault (Jon), D.J., Zachary, Tommy (Catherine), Erica Caracciolo (Rob), Andrew (Carly), Aubrey, Benjamin, Lauren, Robert Anthony (Casey), and Justin (Brianna); prized great-grandchildren, Joey, Michael (Kelly) and Abbigail Stanley, Sean Conley (Kaitlyn), Brittany Whittemore (Steve), Becca, Etta and Jack Conte, Hudson, Claire and Chloe, Jason and Nathan Caracciolo, James and Jacob, and Robert Thomas; precious great-great grandchildren, Bella, Landon and Carter. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, neighbors and friends.
Morning calling hours will be from 7:30 – 8:45 a.m. on June 6, at St. Kateri Tekakwitha Church, 1803 Union Street in Niskayuna. A Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow at 9 a.m.
Burial will be in Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St Jude Children's Research Hospital.

My beautiful sister in law Mim, you were more of my sister an than an in law I remember the first time I met you with Chap at the circle Inn in Latham I remember saying to Ron wow your brother Chap has hit a winner there!!! You were married in April
Of 1954 an Ron an I in Oct of 1954 truly Ron an I were kids 19an 20 an there we were Ron´s big brother getting married an would finally have a sister to love the yrs flew by so fast an we spent most weekends together as you with the little ones an me with our two boys I can still see the playpens in the living room where you lived in Latham AMAZING how you always had a smile an I cannot ever remember the kids not being happy holidays an clambakes in the back yard the grown ups all playing games while the kids would do there thing when the fire station alarm on rt 7 went off they would all go screaming to hug mommy an there you were with open arms Truly a mother so full of love for her 9 children an so very very proud of each of them !!! You have left us all an yet you are not really gone for the memories will last forever now you will watch over them from

60+ years of memories for me. My Aunt Mim was like a second Mom whenever I was at their home and unlike anyone else I´ve ever known; I never really saw her get upset or yell; she always had this calmness and grace about her regardless of the situation or task at hand; even when all the kids would get wild she just always took it all in stride.
When I think back about the many sleepovers I had on Garner Avenue I was really too young at the time to understand the patience and effort required in raising children, in her case 9 of them, and honestly that number was often larger because everyone always welcomed the opportunity to be part of their large family, be it for a celebration gathering or just to come over to play and hangout - both her and Uncle Irv were always accommodating like that.
Now I marvel at how there was always enough food and drink for everyone, no matter how many people were there; and I don´t remember ever waiting to use a bathroom; nothing ever seemed rushed or inconvenient.
Even now, as a father of 3, it´s difficult for me to comprehend the level of effort and discipline that had to have been put forth to raise 9 children - the cleaning, the cooking, the laundry, the teaching, the caring, the understanding. and the sacrifice. Between her and Uncle Irv, they always appeared to do it all so seamlessly, yet clearly anyone who has raised a child knows the stress that comes with such responsibility; I believe their faith in God and the sharing of that with their children helped make it all possible.
I'm so grateful that I was able to talk with her during a recent visit. She was the ultimate sister, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend; with an unlimited amount of love and kindness always offered to those in her presence.
My sincerest condolences to her family and the countless people she touched throughout her life.
RIP Aunt Mim, Heaven´s gain is Earth´s loss.

I´m not sure how to compress almost 70 years of memories into a message but I´ll do my best.
