Abromaitis, Robert S. "Bob" CLIFTON PARK Robert S. "Bob" Abromaitis, age 69, died on Wednesday, December 23, 2021, following a brief and unexpected illness. He was born on June 18, 1952, in Waterbury, Conn. and was the son of the late Stanley and Barbara (Domaszewicz) Abromaitis. He was preceded in death by his brother, Stephen Abromaitis. He was a graduate of J.F. Kennedy High School and went on to earn his degree in engineering at Kings Point Merchant Marine Academy.Bob was a hardworking and bright engineer who owned and operated his own business for 28 years. Eventually, he carried out his talents with M/E Engineering in Schenectady where he recently retired after 16 years with the company. He was well-known in the field and respected for his knowledge and expertise. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, brother, son, uncle, and friend. He will be remembered for his love for his family, especially his grandchildren, family camping trips in the Adirondacks, boating with family on The Great Sacandaga Lake, and his charitable contributions to his community. He was a man with great discipline and a heart of gold. He would do anything for anyone at any time, all you had to do was ask. He was a communicant of Corpus Christi Church where he also served as a trustee. He was a faithful practicing Catholic all of his life and attended church regularly. Bob is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Carol; his three children, Amanda (Justin), Gregory (Holly), and Douglas (Brittany); and his five grandchildren, Samantha, Kylie, Maxon, Wesley, and Ainsley. He is also survived by his brother, James Abromaitis (Debra); sisters-in-law, Ellen Bufe (Arthur), and June Bartlett (Richard); brother-in-law, Scott Hoffman (Alesha); and many nieces and nephews. All are invited to attend calling hours on Wednesday, December 29, from 4-7 p.m. at Townley & Wheeler Funeral Home, 21 Midline Road, Ballston Lake. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, December 30, at 10 a.m. in the Corpus Christi Church, 2001 U.S. 9, Round Lake. Very sorry to learn of Bob's passing. I will keep the Abromaitis family in my thoughts and prayers.

Bob was a great supporter of the programs at Spa Catholic.
He was able to work well with others and shared a terrific sense
of humor. I was fortunate to know him for a few great years in
the early 2000's.

May God continue to bless the Abromaitis family and provide
comfort for them in this time of healing.

My sympathies to Bob's family. I worked with him over the years with E. W. Tompkins. He and Tom hit it off and were constantly talking on the phone. May he rest in peace and God Bless you all.

Bob was the best engineer I worked with in my many years in the facilities business. He was thorough and precise and had a great sense of humor. I learned a great deal working with Bob and I will sincerely miss him. The lord needed him more than we did apparently. I was blessed to know him.

My deepest sympathies to Bob's family. Bob oversaw the engineering aspect of several group homes for the disabled that I undertook, especially the rebuilding of a flood-ravaged home in Schoharie in 2011. He was an engaging professional and witty fellow. I enjoyed working with him.

We were neighbors of the wonderful Abromaitis family for many years. They are like family. We are unbelievably saddened to learn of the unexpected death of Bob. He was a wonderful neighbor and dear friend and we always had great times with Bob and his entire family. God bless the entire Abromaitis family during this unbelievably sorrowful time. We love you.
