Robert B. Hanley

BRAINARD Robert B. Hanley, age 79 years, of Brainard, passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2005 at Albany Medical Center. He was born in Syracuse and had lived in Albany before moving to Brainard two years ago. Mr. Hanley was retired from the State of New York Department of Social Services. In his ministry as a Baptist clergyman he attended to his parishioners at First Baptist Church in Rensselaer. He was an avid gardener and painter, painting many pictures. Husband of Claire Newmark Hanley of Brainard; father of David Hanley, Cynthia Peavey, Jolene Ransear, Neta Donovan, Peter Hanley, Victoria Brock, Elizabeth Kunhardt, Daniel Hanley and Matthew Hanley; brother of Malcolm Hanley and the late Frederick Hanley. Also survived by 20 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. A memorial funeral service will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. at the W.J. Lyons Jr. Funeral Home, 1700 Washington Avenue, Rensselaer.
