Today I was saddened to learn Dr. Busino had passed. My deepest sympathies go out to his family for their loss. He was my doctor for over 25 years. The longer I knew him, the more I respected the example he gave me to follow. Bill (if I have the right to call him by anything but doctor) was caring, kind, considerate and quite knowledgeable; a consummate professional. If there was a better doctor or person, I don't know that individual. I miss him.

I am so sorry for your loss. Apologies for this late message as I just found out about his passing yesterday. Dr. Busino was my doctor since 2009. He was awesome and I am thankful for all he did for me. He will be missed. My condolences to his family. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. `Billy´ and I were childhood friends and played together almost daily. His parents home and office was 2 doors down from our home and my Dad´s office on Union St. His mom, Dr. Rowley were friends also. We reconnected years later at a party for my Dad´s 90th birthday, and Bill was my parent´s neighbor and their personal physician for many years. Great memories.

To the Busino family, I am deeply sorry to learn about your loss. When I met my husband and moved to Schenectady, I started seeing Dr. Busino since my husband and his parents were also his patients. I have never known any doctor that genuinely cared for people the way he did. Not only did he give excellent medical care, he knew us. He joyed and took pictures of my newborns and got choked up with me after the passing of my husband to cancer at an early age. His humanity was incredible. Prayers and sympathy to your family.

Many years ago, I was a patient (along with my parents) of Dr. Busino Sr., perhaps the best family physician we ever had. Occasionally, we would be in the waiting room and hear the sounds of laughter followed by scuffling from beyond the walls.....then followed by Dr. Busino´s quick entry and disappearance to the other side of the wall!!! Then hurried whisperings and silence as he re-appeared, apologizing. Always left us with smiles and giggles. What a wonderful tribute to him and Dr. Rowley - that their rambunctious young sons would grow up to be such fine men and respected members of their communities!!! What an amazing legacy the Busino family has left behind! Thank you and I am truly sorry for your great loss.

Dear CherylDavid, Diane, Mason and the entire Busino family. There is nothing I can say or do that will lessen or ease the grief you are all experiencing. Your loss is profound and by the attendance at Dr. Bill´s funeral service, that loss has had a ripple effect throughout our community and most likely, beyond. I will never forget his professionalism, expertise and compassion as a medical physician. I will miss his greeting of "Hello, dear lady. How are you? ". I will miss pictures of Mason and the glowing happiness and pride of his first grandchild, Mason. He was a true gentleman and scholar; humble and kind. The physician´s physician. Besides being a gifted physician , he was a great guy, good sense of humor and a gentleman! The medical community has lost a star!!

I first met Bill when I was installing his phone system at the Balltown Road practice when they first opened. I had a terrible cough and Bill heard me in the equipment room said make an appointment with my secretary. He's been my doctor ever since. He really knew and cared for his patients. A gifted doctor. One of the best. God bless him and his entire family.

Bill was a physician, a mentor, a colleague, and a friend. He dedicated himself to medicine for the past 40 years, practicing at Internal Medicine Balltown Road, teaching at our local hospitals (he was particularly involved in the Ellis community), and holding respected positions in medicine throughout his impressive career.
We will remember him most for his friendship, his leadership, and his dedication to his patients. One of his colleagues recently said, "Seeing challenges as opportunities and encouraging us all to have a change of heart when we have doubts. He is our heart. As do most, we struggle some days. He is known to stop in for a visit... always with a smile, a hug, and words of encouragement. We continue to work harder because of him and for him." Thank you, Bill. May we all follow your lead.
Let´s say farewell with an abundance of thanks and gratitude for all he has taught us, wonderful memories, and the joy he has brought to us all. Condolences to his family and wife, Cheryl, to his family at Internal Medicine Balltown Road, and to all of you who knew him and loved him.

Dr. Busino was a wonderful doctor to my father, Joseph Cassillo. Dr. Busino was his doctor for over 35 years. He had an amazing sense of humor and his rapport with his patients was unmatched in my opinion. Dr. Busino gave his patients his undivided attention.
