William H. Proctor Sr.

Proctor, William H. Sr. WATERVLIET William H. Proctor Sr., 85, died suddenly on Saturday, August 13, 2016, at Samaritan Hospital after being stricken at home. Born in Watervliet on January 6, 1931, he was the son of the late Archie and Eva Murray Proctor Sr. Bill was raised and educated in Cohoes and lived in Watervliet for most of his life. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War serving in France. He was employed by the Ford Motor Co. in Green Island and retired in 1988. Bill was a self-taught musician who played the guitar with his band, Bill Proctor and the Jamboree Pals. He was a member of the Watervliet V.F.W. and the American Legion Post. He was the husband of the late Grace Sciacco Proctor; beloved father of Mike (Dori) Proctor and Cathy (late Joe) Busone of Arizona, Chris Tabatsky of Latham and Bill Proctor Jr. of Watervliet; grandfather of Cindy and Mike Proctor, Joe and Kait Busone, Jamie Viola, Grace Herrington and Dylan Proctor; great-grandfather of Robert, Sofia, Vincenza, Isabella and Cameron; brother of Janet (Bill) Dennis and Archie (Carol) Proctor and the late Robert (late Ruth) Proctor. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Parker Bros. Memorial, 2013 Broadway, Watervliet, on Tuesday at 9:15 a.m. and at 10 a.m. at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Watervliet. Interment St. Mary's Cemetery, Troy.
