Charles Wagner Obituary

WAGNER Charles R. Wagner, age 75, passed away Wednesday, October 30, 2002, after a lengthy illness. Charlie was born in New York City, NY, to the late Charles R. And Margarette Wagner. He was raised in Pennsylvania and then joined the U.S. Navy in 1944 and retired in 1964. He was the owner and operator of Wagnerâs Master Lawnmower Service on St. Johnâs Ave., in Jacksonville for 30 years. He was a member of Orange Park Masonic Lodge #267 F&AM where he served as Past Master in 1981, a 32nd degree of the Scottish Rite Bodies and a member of the Morocco Temple. He was affiliated with the V.F.W. post #443, D.A.V. #38, American Legion #137, and the Fleet Reserve Association #126 as well as the Clay County Shrine. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Helen Catherine; two daughters, Marilyn (Alan) Tillery and Cindy Wagner; one son, Senior Chief Charles R. Wagner Jr., USN; three granddaughters, Catherine, Tiffany and Stephanie; one sister, Inga Reightler of Pennsylvania and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM Monday, November 4, 2002 at JACKSONVILLE MEMORY GARDENS FUNERAL HOME, 111 Blanding Blvd., Orange Park, FL. Interment will follow in the Garden of Masonic at Jacksonville Memory Gardens with Masonic Rites and Full Military Honors. Was so sorry hear of Charlie's passing. He was a good friend, boss and I'm sure he will be missed. Would really have liked to attend, but unfortunately time does not permit. Our thought and prayers are with you during this time of sorrow. We will say an extra pray this week for both the family and on Charlie's behalf.
