I'm a little older than Dennis but remember him well as a really nice guy and a clean, flamboyant boxer. Saw him box many times at the Old Snyder Armory and I believe once at the Coliseum. Was a very popular and wholesome young man.

I remember Dennis as a dedicated boxer and family man when I covered his fights for the Jacksonville Journal. He worked hard at his job and at boxing. He should be remembered in Jacksonville sports history. Prayers for Darlene, Jimmy and the whole family.
