W. Drummond Obituary

DRUMMOND W. John Drummond died on July 22, 2005 in Jacksonville, Florida at the age of 81. Born in David City, Nebraska on May 14, 1924, he graduated from Northwestern University, was active in Boy Scouts, in the Lutheran Church and the Westside Rotary. John served in the 99th infantry in the Battle of the Bulge in World War II. Well-beloved by his family and friends for his witty sense of humor in all things, he leaves his wife, Lorraine and children, Carol (Neil), James (Donna), and Gretchen, grandchildren and his brother Tom (Maurine) of Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Rev. Don Reiter will officiate over the memorial service held at St. Marks Lutheran Church on Monday (TODAY), July 25 at 11 AM. Remembrances may be made to the North Florida Council of the Boy Scouts of America, The Community Hospice Foundation or a charity of your choice. Please Sign the Guestbook @ Jacksonville.com

Lorraine and family,you have our sincere sympathy in the loss of Bill. Such a fine gentleman, respected and loved by so many, deservedly so. We did not learn of this until late today, and so sorry I was not able to attend the service. May the good Lord grant you abundant solace knowing he is in a better place and without pain.
