Here where we are 2022 and we still have you in our hearts, Aunt Harriet and me still your Uncle. Now you are with all most the family. My Mom and your grand mother, uncle Duke ,your Father, George , nephew Josh, and most of all your Mother and my sister Pops. I am alone now soon to be 82 years old. I still have Amy and David but still have my family. You know your Aunt Harriet and the 2 sons. I now have 4 grand children . They keep me going. I wish we would have had more time together Biff but you are still in my heart and always will be. Love you Biff and will see you soon. Uncle Herb.

I just saw the news in the Mercerian. I am very saddened by his death. When in college he was one of my best friends. I truly regret that we only saw and talked to each other once in the last 39 years. I know he had to make an impact on his family , his associates as he did on me. Knowing he is gone will make this day a little less lively. It seems perhaps strange to say this, but I will miss him.

My beautiful Biff, I love you so much and will till the day I join you. You were my life for almost 14 wonderful years. I am so blessed to have had that many years with you although I wanted many more but God had his reason for calling you home when he did and I live on knowing you are in his glory. You loved me and spoiled me and enjoyed every minute of it. You always said I was the love of your life and you are the love of my life. We were perfect together. I think what made me love you the most was the way you loved your precious Ashli. Your eyes lit up everytime you talked to her and saw her. I have such a high respect for you because of the father you were. You favorite saying to me "I spoil my 2 girls" was so true. I am so sad you are gone but I have so many wonderful memories that will stay with me forever and I know you are watching over us. I am taking care of our precious animals and talk to them everyday about you. I love and miss you forever. I am at peace knowing that you knew how much I love you and that it was the last thing you heard from me and that your last week you spent time with Ashli, David, Amy, your mom and your dad and that happened because God loves you and that was part of his plan. Well Biff, This is our week, first my birthday and the next day would have been your's. But then it is still your's with our LORD. How wonderful that is for you, but, of course we wish you were here but I know in my heart you are in the most glorious place of all.
You served your entire adult life to GOD and Country. Not many of us can say that we did both but you can. Now GOD has brought you home and your Aunt Harriet and I rejoice in that. You, Mom and Josh are now together and when the Dear LORD make that decision we all will be together.

Biff's sudden passage into Heaven is a reminder that we need to do a better job of letting people know how important they have been to us and continue to be so. I served with Biff when we were in Navy Basic Training together at Great Lakes Naval Training Center. He was the "old man" in the platoon and kept us youngsters under control. Many nights he would help me understand what I needed to do to be successful. Many of these lessons I have carried with me for 36+ years in the Navy and later in the Army. I next saw Biff when I was an undergrad at Mercer and he was in law school. We actually graduated at the same time (me undergrad and him Law School). I know God has opened his arms fro him and we will swap stories in heaven.

I am so thankful that you know Jesus as your Lord and Savior. Because of what Jesus did on the cross, the Victory is won and the grave is overwhelmed.
I will miss you so much big brother, but I so rejoice in knowing that we will be together again. I know that even now, you are with my precious son Joshua. I am so vey thankful that you both are in the presence of God.
I look forward to that happy day when we all can be together once again.

To Biff's family and friends, we have a lost a truly good man. I became friends with Biff thirty nine years ago when we started college together. His intelligence was surpassed only by his sense of humor and his loyalty to his friends. The middle Georgia legal community and all his friends will really miss him. Ashli, when we moved on this street you were about six weeks old. Your dad was so proud of you, and loved you so much. We watched as he taught you to ride your bike, then years later to drive the car. He was such a wonderful man, and good to all his neighbors. Ashley, I am so saddened by your father's death. I knew him for many years, having worked with him in the court system. I remember when he started out as Judge Morgan's law clerk and I had the privilege of working as a court reporter on many cases he handled throughout the years until I retired in 2005.
Biff was well respected and loved by his collegues and friends alike.
