On Saturday, May 9, 2020 Catherine Courter, loving wife and mother of two children, passed away at age 69. Catherine was born in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania on November 9,1951. She married her highschool sweetheart, Thomas Courter, in April 1972. Ten years later, they moved to Florida where they raised their two children. She is survived by her two daughters, Stacey McMichael and Christie Rheem, as well as grandchildren, Morgan McMichael, Beckham Rheem and Brooks Rheem, as well as her beloved pet, Champ.
Through their lives, her daughters have always looked to Catherine as the rudder to their family and their shelter in the storm. She had a passion for gardening, caring for animals and spending time with family and friends. Catherine was a friend to all. She never hesitated to lend a helping hand, and along with her husband, they both gave so much of themselves and asked for so little in return. She was truly one of a kind and will be greatly missed by all.
The family of Mrs. Courter entrusted the arrangements to Clymer Funeral Home & Cremations.

I too, knew Tom and Cathy since High School, class of '70. Chatty Cathy was popular and often in Dutch with the teachers. We were practically neighbors here thru the births of their two daughters, and until they up and moved to Florida near Tom's parents in 1985. I missed them then and miss them even more now. My deepest sympathies to Stacey and Christie.

Tom & Cathy were both Great friends of mine ever since Jr. High School. Such good people both taken way too soon. I will truly miss both of them, had plans to see Cathy this summer on my motorcycle. I know she missed Tom so much and was loved by everyone who knew her. What a good person. My condolences go out to Stacie and Christie who Cathy really loved, and to all of her family and friends.

My heart broke when I heard of Cathy’s passing. She was a kind and caring person who never wanted any recognition or gratitude for the good deeds that she did. My deepest condolences to her family. I am so sorry for your loss.
