Arlene Crawford Obituary

CRAWFORD Arlene Arlene F. Crawford, age 70, of West Toledo, passed away Wednesday September 6, 2006, at the Goerlich Center, Sylvania, OH. She was born April 15, 1936, in Toledo to Walter and Hattie (Cialkoszewski) Pawlecki. A former parishioner of St. Adalbert Catholic Church, Arlene was a graduate of St. Adalbert Grade School and a 1954 alumnus of Central Catholic High School. She was a current parishioner of Regina Coeli Catholic Church where she was an organist for many years. Later when her children were grown, she worked 21 years as a bookkeeper for the parish. A devoted and loving mother and fulltime homemaker, Arlene enjoyed sailing, shopping, and her many family vacations in Canada. She had a very kind spirit and had a great love for animals. Arlene along with her husband, foster cared for many abandoned and lost cats and dogs. Arlene is survived by her beloved husband of 50 years, Robert C. Crawford; daughter, Nancy Crawford of Novi, MI; son, David (Nancy) Crawford of Fenton, MI; sister, Carolyn (Frank) Kiss of Walbridge and grandchildren, Jon, Jake and Jessica. Family and friends may visit Friday from 2-9 p.m. in the Sujkowski Funeral Home Northpointe, 114-128 E. Alexis Rd., where a rosary be led at 7:00 p.m. by members of the Altar & Rosary Society. Funeral Services will begin Saturday at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home and continue with the Mass of Christian Burial in Regina Coeli Church at 10:30 a.m. The family would like to sincerely thank the Goerlich Center for their kindness and extraordinary level of care given to Arlene during the last months of her life.
