George Back Obituary

George Louis Back, 74, made his final transition from this earth Thursday, Aug. 23, 2007. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 25, at the Veteran Memorial Cemetery in Killeen. Mr. Back was born Dec. 29, 1932, to father, Louis Austin Back and mother, Georgia Lone Martin Moore in Waco. He served his country in the United States Navy from April 24, 1950 to Oct. 23, 1953, where his boat was stationed in North Korea as fire support. He was preceded in death by his mother, Georgia Moore in 2005 and his sister, Nan (Ira) Green. He is survived by his wife, Sarah Dyson Back; cousin, Fred Stolke of Waco; brother-in-law, Ira Green of Waco and half sister, Paula Jill Hawley and husband, Kenneth of Waco; three children from California, Stephen Michael Moore, Georgia Ann Moore and Kathy Lee Moore; three step-sons, Patton Lee Jenkins and wife, Montine of Royse City, Jerry Wayne Jenkins and wife, Tammy of Shepperd and Michael Shannon Jenkins and wife, Jennifer of Waco; Christina O'Halloran of Austin; and eight other grandchildren.
