Martha C. (Tscherne) Ansman

Martha Catherine (Tscherne) Ansman, 80, of Toledo, OH, passed away Sunday, August 22, 2021 at home surrounded by her family. She was born October 24, 1940 in Toledo, OH to Frank and Myrtle Louise (Christie) Tscherne.

Martha was a parishioner of Epiphany of the Lord parish and a member of the LCBA. She enjoyed crochet and was known for her many afghans she made for her children and grandchildren. Holidays were important and she always made sure her family was together for the holidays and that everyone had a birthday cake for their birthday.

Martha leaves behind her children, Julie Ansman, Linda (David) Sanislo, and Joseph (Tracey) Ansman; her grandchildren, Brittanee (Ken) Koontz, Dustin Sanislo, Shannon Sanislo, Thea Sanislo, Haley Ansman, and Derek Conley; her 3 great-grandchildren; her siblings, Sr. Mary Agnes Rose Tscherne SND, Ruth E. Petersberger, and Fr. David D. Tscherne. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Frank J. (Carolyn) Tscherne; her sister, Helen M. Tscherne; and her brother-in-law, Frank Petersberger.

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Friday, August 27, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with the Scripture Service held at 7:00 p.m. The funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Epiphany of the Lord Parish – St. Thomas Church. Martha will be laid to rest at St. Ignatius Cemetery. Memorial contributions in her name may be made to the Luther Home of Mercy in Williston, OH.
