Martin V. Sr.
Martin V. Keefe Sr., 76, of Naples, Florida and Toledo, Ohio passed away on May 14, 2016 in his family's residence. He was born in Toledo in January, 1940 to Frances
(LaJiness) and Daniel Keefe.
Prior to his retirement, Marty was a purchaser for Dana Corporation and a manager at Sardini's Restaurant in Toledo. He was also a United States Postal Carrier for ten years in Naples, Florida. He loved people, Florida, news, history television, Pepsi, Cain's Potato Chips, Rudy's Hot Dog and popcorn. His warm magnetic personality and humorous ways would charm, making everyone smile and feel welcome. Dedication and Strength though were his strongest attributes known by family and friends both near and far. He lived and breathed with the heart of a lion.
Marty is survived by his loving children, Tammy (Odis) Keefe-Koleff, Marty Keefe Jr., David (Sheila) Keefe, Donald Keefe; grandchildren, Lisa, Jennifer, Scott, Carolyn, Heidi, Jeremy, Nicole, Nina; great-grandchildren, Jacob, Grace, Dylan, Donovan, David, Dayton, Daxton Daniel (Danny boy to Papa), Brenden, Antonio Jr. “Tonio”, Ayden, Addison, Declan, and baby Kennedy due in November.
His family wishes to extend special thanks to all that have helped him including his neighbors, friends and staff at The Chickee of Quality Inn for their loving and caring friendship.
Friends are invited to visit on Saturday May 21, 2016, after 10:00 a.m., at the Ansberg-West Funeral Home, 3000 W. Sylvania Ave., where funeral services will follow beginning at 1:00 p.m. Officiant, Rev. Robert Reinhart. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Those wishing to make memorial contributions are asked to consider the Sisters of Notre Dame, or the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. To send his family online condolences, please visit

Oh what a party they must be having in heaven.Grandma and Grandpa Keefe must be thrilled to have all their children back with them. Our hearts are sad but heaven gained another precious angel. Uncle Marty we will miss your smile and laughter but most importantly we will miss you.You were one of a kind. So blessed to have had you in our life and in our family.We love you bunches and bunches and will until we see each other again. We will cherish all the wonderful memories that you left. You now have your angel wings so fly high.
