Mary "Lynne" Jones

Mary Lynne Jones (nee Schoen), affectionately known as Lynnie, passed away on June 1, 2024, in her place of birth, Toledo, Ohio, after an extended battle with Alzheimer's. Born on October 7th,1949, Lynne lived most of her life in Toledo and cherished her hometown as her favorite place in the world.

Lynne had a zest for life and enjoyed various hobbies, including shopping, doting on her beloved grandchildren, and being a dedicated parishioner of St. Joseph's Church in Sylvania. She had a sweet tooth and could often be found indulging in her favorite butter pecan ice cream and the occasional strawberry Eston's cake.

When it came to entertainment, Lynne had a soft spot for movies, with Grease being one of her favorites. She found joy in the music and the iconic performances that brought the story to life. Lynne was also a devoted fan of the King of Rock and Roll, Elvis.

Lynne's proudest accomplishment and greatest joy in life was her family. She is survived by her spouse, Bob Jones, who was her rock and constant companion. Their love was a source of strength and happiness throughout their years together.

Lynne's legacy lives on through her children, daughters Andrea Persico, Nicole Jones; and son Robert Jones; and her grandchildren, Katelyn, Madison, Vincent, and Alexandra, who brought immense joy and love into her life.

Lynne will be dearly missed by her siblings Sandy, Shelly, Chris, Bob, and John, as well as all their extended family and friends. Her warm and caring nature, infectious laughter, and unwavering love will be remembered and cherished by all who knew her.

As we say goodbye to Lynne Jones, let us celebrate the beautiful memories she leaves behind and hold them close to our hearts. May she rest in eternal peace.

Visitation services will be held on June 6th, 2024, from 4-7 p.m. at Walker Funeral Home at 5155 W. Sylvania Avenue, Toledo, OH 43623.

The funeral procession will begin at 9 a.m. on June 7th, 2024, at Walker Funeral Home, followed by Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 5373 Main St, Sylvania, OH 43560.

Flowers can be sent to Walker Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
