Raymond R.
Raymond R. Briggs, age 62, of Toledo, died July 6, 2013, at The Toledo Hospital. He was born May 26, 1951, to Gene (Bea) Briggs. Ray retired from the City of Toledo, Sewer Department in 1999 after 30 years of service. He enjoyed fishing, watching home decorating shows and was an avid Detroit Red Wings fan.
Survived by his loving wife, Rose; sons, Raymond, Jr., Jon and Porter; daughter, Candace (Sam) Perry; grandchildren, Sam, Jonathan, Justin, Jacob, Sean, and Ryan; brothers, Al (Karen) Briggs and Paul (VeeAnn) Briggs; sister, Sue Adams; sister-in-law, Flo Briggs and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at Blanchard-Strabler
Funeral Home (1163 W. Sylvania at Lockwood, 419-269-1111) on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of Services at 8:00 p.m. Special thanks to Medical ICU Drs and nurses at The Toledo Hospital and the Cancer Center at Toledo Clinic, Flower and St. Luke's Hospital. Online condolences:

Jesus will acknowledge Ray's new name before his Father and his angels. God will look in the Book of Life and he will judge Ray by what has been written. Everything he has lived through will now make sense to him. Joy and gladness will reign as God completes his promise and Ray's new spirit will live in the Jerusalem of evermore.
