Stephen S.
Stephen S. Binkowski, age 83, of Toledo, passed away Monday April 8, 2013, in Ebeid Hospice, Sylvania, Ohio. Steve was born in Toledo on February 18, 1930, to Stephen J. and Stella (Grabowski) Binkowski. Steve was a U.S. Navy Veteran and during that time he married Mary Ann Slowinski in Pensacola, FL on August 11, 1951. He retired from Jones and Henry where he was a Draftsman-Engineer. He was also a respected wedding photographer. Steve was a talented artist who enjoyed painting, drawing and especially nature photography. He was a very honest man and was extremely proud of his family. He loved to cook and provide for them in many ways. He was very proud of his Polish heritage, and enjoyed listening to the Polka Party every Sunday. Steve was also an avid fan of the Detroit Tigers and the Ohio State Buckeyes.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Becky. He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann; children, Rick (Jan Haines) Binkowski, Lisa (Sue) Binkowski, Danita (George Cordray) Binkowski, Sara (Mark) Schoenrock, Stephen P. Binkowski, John Binkowski, Mary (Scott) Garner and Joe Binkowski; sisters, Dee Kaus and Patsi Borst; grandchildren, Mark, Caitlin, Alissa, Kyle (Chrysti), Hanna (James), Jessica, Cecelia, Sam, and Sadie, and great-grandchild, Ava.
The family will receive friends in the Urbanski Funeral Home, 5055 Secor Rd., Toledo, Ohio on Wednesday April 10, 2013, from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Interment will be private at a later date. Any contributions are asked to be given to the Rebecca Ann Binkowski Endowed Scholarship at Lourdes University. Online condolences can be shared at

Steve.....we were so sorry learning about your father. You and I had some interesting talks about your dad's Polish heritage since I was raised south of Dorr and knew the neighborhood your mother and dad were familiar with as younger persons.
